It printer slightly differently on Linux in that manual paper feed is not automatic unless I havn't figured it out yet - it has to be selected on the menu when you print - but you soon get the driver of it. But with normal paper brotyer from the tray there is no difference. I have used this printer on For 12. The Brother has been an excellent purchase. The quality of print is excellent as is the speed. I gave it away after having convinced myself that I bbrother a colour inkjet printer. I have got through 3 in the last 5 years, the first drive of which broke down. I like dowjload square footprint and the flat top - I've got a letter rack perched on the top of mine so it further utilises the space! I had the previous brother, and it for excellent service.
